I was checking out at the store when I realized I had no idea how much was left on my mygift card balance. Tried swiping it and the machine just beeped—guess I should've looked it up online first. Luckily, the cashier was patient while I pulled out my phone to check the website. The balance was lower than I thought, so I ended up covering the rest with cash.
