Osmund Saddler's final battle is a brutal showdown where the skilled hunter, wounded and outnumbered, faces a monstrous creature in a rain-slicked canyon. He uses his last explosive arrow to collapse a rockfall, buying time for a desperate close-quarters fight with a broken blade. The clash ends with both combatants tumbling into a chasm, leaving only his torn cloak as proof of the struggle.
